William Chong, strategic marketing manager, Supplier Marketing Management, Arrow Asia/Pacific, receives the GA Billion Club Bronze Cup Winner 2004 Award on behalf of Arrow from Dick Gehbart, senior vice president, Business Line GA, Philips.

Arrow Asia/Pacific received the Multi-market Semiconductor (MMS) Sales Award 2004 Asia and the GA (General Application) Billion Club Bronze Cup Winner 2004 Award from Philips Semiconductors, a leading supplier of silicon system solutions .

“Philips is one of Arrow's key partners and these awards underscore the importance and value of the relationship,” said William Chong, strategic marketing manager, Arrow Asia/Pacific, Hong Kong. “This is the first time that Arrow has received both of these awards, so they have special recognition for us, and are a direct result of the hard work of the entire Arrow Asia/Pacific Standard Product Group (SPG).”

The MMS Sales Award measures sales volume, growth rate and annual targets. “Arrow was the fastest growing distributor for Philips in 2004,” Chong adds. The GA Billion Club Award measures the number of components of Philips products sold by its distributors in excess of one billion.

Arrow Asia/Pacific also received several additional awards from Philips during the first half of this year for growth and performance excellence in 2004. These awards include:

-Best Distributor for Logic Business Growth in Asia Pacific;
-Outstanding Performance Award for Demand Creation and Business Growth;
-Outstanding Performance Award in recognition of business performance and partnership awarded to Arrow Asia/Pacific's Hong Kong/China Marketing team;
-Outstanding Performance Award for contribution to the multi-market semiconductor growth awarded to William Chong; and
-Outstanding Performance Award in recognition of business performance and partnership awarded to Thomas Ip, supplier business manager, Arrow Asia/Pacific, Hong Kong.
