for Leading Human Resource Practices

Arrow Asia/Pacific received the “Best Learning and Development Practice, Hong Kong” Award from China STAFF , the only bilingual journal solely dedicated to human resources management in Hong Kong and China. Arrow's team effort and innovative approach to learning, particularly shared leadership through its Leadership Inspires Full Engagement (LIFE) program in Hong Kong, helped win this prestigious award.

The award was presented at China STAFF's 8th Annual Human Resources (HR) Awards and Conference held on October 27. The event is one of the largest annual HR gatherings of the region, providing a platform for the HR community to come together, network and celebrate their achievements as a community. The China STAFF HR Awards, through the recognition of companies dedicated to the HR profession, raise awareness of the importance of the human resources function to an organization's success.

The China STAFF HR Awards are open to all Hong Kong incorporated companies, or companies with operations in Hong Kong. The awards are decided by a panel of independent judges in consultation with China STAFF readers and HR professionals in the region. Award entries were required to:

- Demonstrate excellence in their chosen category;
- Show a clear relationship with HR initiatives and organizational improvement;
- Demonstrate innovation in practice;
- Identify a clear link between HR and overall organizational directives;
- Show supporting documentation and describe the return on investments; and
- Show a significant contribution toward developing best practices in the HR community.

Arrow Asia/Pacific's LIFE workshops included more than 200 employees at 11 locations last year when it was first introduced as a way to engage employees in the development of business strategies through the practice of shared leadership. LIFE is now in its second iteration and nearly half of Arrow Asia/Pacific's employees have participated in a workshop already. As part of LIFE 2, more than 250 people are beginning to apply the voice of the customer methodology across functions and regions, and other key business strategies.
