Arrow North American Components Tops ESM's Customer Preference Study

The North American Components division of Arrow Electronics, Inc. (NYSE:ARW) has been ranked ahead of all other electronic component distributors for the third time consecutively in the Electronics Supply & Manufacturing (ESM) annual Distributor Customer Preference Study .

The study, conducted by ESM, a monthly CMP Media publication, analyzes distributor brand strength and reputation, and determines which distributors are used and preferred among supply chain and procurement professionals in four product categories: semiconductors, passive components, connectors and interconnects, and electromechanical devices. The study was conducted February through March of this year and had more than 1,200 respondents.

“As we continue to demonstrate operational excellence and drive to be the Clear #1, we are extremely pleased that electronic component customers in North America recognize Arrow as the distributor of choice for doing business, ” said Brian McNally, president, Arrow North American Components.

Arrow ranked first overall by distributor preference and patronage again this year . In the semiconductor market, Arrow received most preferred distributor and led with 54 percent of the vote by patronage. “Receiving the top ranking in semiconductors again this year illustrates our commitment to world-class products, services, and supply chain solutions that meet customers’ electronic components needs across the board,” said Paul Buckley, senior vice president, Arrow Semiconductor Supplier Services Group.

Arrow again achieved the top spot for patronage in passive components, connectors, and electromechanical devices. In addition, Arrow received most preferred distributor in passive components for the first time and remained most preferred in electromechanical devices. “Arrow’s top ranking in PEMCO categories continues to reinforce our PEMCO success in North America with a top-notch team of sales, marketing, and logistics professionals dedicated to meeting our customers’ PEMCO needs,” said Don Schlidt, vice president, Arrow PEMCO Supplier Services Group.

The Distributor Customer Preference Study also examines distributor reputation regarding on-time delivery, ease of doing business, competitive pricing, product knowledge, and services—and Arrow consistently landed in the top rankings for each category.
